I genuinely believe in care as a generator of well-being within companies and a promoter of happiness at work.

I had the honor of participating in this work and contributing by sharing my reflections on the importance of care in combating loneliness and promoting well-being in organizations.

About Daniela Cavalcanti

I am Dani Cavalcanti, married for 23 years and mother to Laís, 19. I am the first child of Maria and José, who had three children. I was born and raised in São Paulo and am 48 years old. I hold a degree in journalism and a postgraduate degree in business management.

I currently serve as the Director of Client Services at Best Life Consultoria, overseeing client relations, Risk Management, Health Management, and the consultancy’s wellness program, Viva Melhor.

Before joining Best Life, I worked in major health and benefits companies: nearly 20 years at Amil Assistência Médica and two years at SulAmérica.

Between Amil and SulAmérica, I took a two-year break from the workforce to focus entirely on my family, particularly my daughter, who was eight at the time. This pause allowed me to be fully present as a mother and embrace family life—an experience that brought me great fulfillment.

After this period, the desire to contribute professionally and the longing for the corporate world led me back to work. Following two years at SulAmérica, I accepted the challenge during the pandemic to join Best Life Consultoria, tasked with structuring the entire client services area. Throughout my career, I have focused on client relations and the health and benefits sector.

I have always believed that it is possible to genuinely bring health and well-being to people. This purpose has been central to my work for the past five years. It is the part of my work that I enjoy most and that motivates me. I truly believe that by combining interests and efforts, we can promote well-being and help people live happier lives.

The individual transforms the collective. Small, consistent steps, day by day, can make a meaningful difference and positively impact the lives of people in a healthy and happy way.

Chapter Theme

Welcoming as a Generator of Well-Being at Work

The author explores welcoming as a powerful tool for fostering well-being. Well-being is directly linked to happiness—well-being, well-being of the self, feeling well, living well, belonging! No one can be truly happy without being well, although no one is capable of feeling well all the time.

Loneliness brings insecurities that directly affect mental and emotional health, with consequences for physical health. In contrast, welcoming generates well-being because it combats loneliness and fosters a sense of belonging. Feeling welcomed and part of a community creates psychological safety, nurtures a lighter environment, and makes happiness possible.
