Chapter Theme
"RE-HUMANIZATION OF THE HUMAN"
The author addresses the importance of valuing the human being in the modern world, where commercial and technological interactions often overlook people's needs and well-being. He emphasizes that behind every transaction and technological advancement, there is always a human being, and it is crucial to remember this in our business and social practices.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted human fragility and the need to reassess our priorities, underscoring re-humanization as an imperative for creating a more just and compassionate environment.
Re-humanization involves a shift in focus, prioritizing the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals. This requires a collective effort from governments, businesses, and individuals to promote empathy, compassion, and solidarity. Gustavo suggests practices such as cultivating empathy, practicing gratitude, promoting inclusion, and caring for personal well-being as fundamental steps in this journey.
The central message is that, in an increasingly connected world, we must reclaim our shared humanity to build a future where everyone is valued and respected.
Re-humanization is seen not only as a choice but as an urgent need for a more sustainable and just world.
